My journey in the fashion industry, spanning several years, was the catalyst for my dream of launching a clothing brand. However, it was my role as a mother that ignited my passion. With two energetic boys who seemed to outgrow their clothes in the blink of an eye, I delved into the world of cotton production. What I unearthed was alarming-cotton, often perceived as a benign fabric, is, in reality, one of the most chemically intensive crops worldwide. However, most brands on the market only offer organic clothing for babies, where, in effect, a child's exposure to harmful substances should not stop at the early stages of development.

Most brands limit their organic clothing to babies, but at Noisy Cargo, we believe in extending the benefits of organic clothing to kids of all ages. Our mission is to reduce children's exposure to harmful substances, which can affect kids of all ages as these chemicals are absorbed through the skin. Let's embrace the goodness of organic cotton by making it a staple in our day to day lives.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed to define strict internationally recognized requirements for organic textiles. The process begins with harvesting raw materials and third-party inspection of all steps that follow (spinning, knitting, weaving, dyeing, manufacturing, and labeling) apparel and fabrics made with organic fiber.

GOTS includes environmental and social criteria, banning genetically modified organisms (GMOs), highly hazardous chemicals (such as azo dyes and formaldehyde), and child labor while mandating robust social compliance management systems and stringent wastewater treatment practices.

Look for the GOTS-certified label to ensure the apparel you purchase has the highest organic certification standard!
